Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A representative for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The company did not confirm the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.
His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
