Damp conditions were forecast to persist along much of Queensland's east this next several days as a low-pressure trough continued to draw in moisture against the coastal areas.

Medical authorities alerted that there was an increased chance of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
